Sinampahan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kahapon ng graft at corruption complaints si dating Bamban mayor Alice Guo at 35 iba pang opisyal, kasalukuyan at dating, kaugnay ng umano’y tax evasion at illegal land conversion.
Ayon kay dating NBI Director Jaime Santiago, P10,000 lamang ang binayad sa real property taxes ng mga nasabing opisyal kaugnay ng Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) property sa bayan na may appraised value na P3.9 bilyon.
Kasama sa kaso ang graft and corruption, possession of prohibited interest ng isang public officer, at administrative charges gaya ng gross misconduct, serious dishonesty, at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service. Ang mga kaso ay isinumite sa Office of the Ombudsman.
Si Guo, na totoong pangalan ay Guo Hua Ping, ay nakakulong sa Pasig City Jail. Haharapin din niya ang hiwalay na reklamo para sa money laundering at qualified human trafficking na isinampa ng police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission kaugnay ng POGO operations sa Bamban.
